Xiaomi presented another device from the “how did we live without this before” device. We are talking about a “washing machine” for vegetables and fruits, Mijia Fruit and Vegetable Cleaner, designed for (probably) thorough washing of plant foods without the use of detergents. The new product is equipped with a motor and a pair of external cleaning modules that create a strong flow of water and bubbles.

It is claimed that the degree of purification of fruits and vegetables reaches 94.8%, which is probably higher than when washing the same grapes in a colander. The device also saturates the water with all sorts of useful ions that fight bacteria, pesticides, hormones, and heavy metals.
A high degree of purification is achieved, among other things, due to the formation of a large number of air microbubbles, which “knock down” contaminants, and a special substrate generates “ions with sterilizing properties.”
In addition to vegetables and fruits, the device can cope with other types of food that require washing. Cleaning time depends on what exactly is being rinsed in the bowl and varies from 6 to 15 minutes. Xiaomi does not stop at PR for the new product, noting that Mijia Fruit and Vegetable Cleaner also works as a dryer, and the air ventilation system helps combat the development of bacteria.
The device was priced at $60.
